Per Eriksson (Bloodbath)
Artist enquiryPer "Sodomizer" Eriksson is a Swedish heavy metal musician best known for his work with acclaimed death metal bands such as Katatonia and Bloodbath
Bloodbath is a Swedish death metal band from Stockholm, formed in 1998 through a shared passion for horror and the glory days of death metal, particularly the classic Florida and Stockholm "Sunlight" scenes. Featuring members from bands including Katatonia, Opeth, and Paradise Lost, Bloodbath has remained one of the genre's defining acts since the release of the Breeding Death EP in 2000.
Over the years, the band has built a formidable legacy, reaching a commercial and critical high point with The Fathomless Mastery (2008). Their fourth full-length album, Grand Morbid Funeral, was recorded at Ghost Ward Studios and City of Glass Studios in Stockholm, mixed by David Castillo, and stands as one of their darkest and dirtiest releases.
Favoring an organic, old-school production over modern polish, Grand Morbid Funeral combines eerie doom-laden melodies with raw, savage riffing. The album also features guest appearances from Chris Reifert and Eric Cutler of Autopsy, further reinforcing Bloodbath's reputation as one of death metal's most uncompromising bands.
